This mat is pretty, just the right thickness, reversible - just perfect. I could not be happier with it. When I first received it, I did let it air out for a couple of days to get rid of the smell. Other than that, I am very pleased with this mat.
Really love this mat, especially the reversible design. I was looking for a mat that was not too thin and not too thick. This was perfect. Only negative, a bit bummed that the elephant design is coming off already (even using appropriate mat cleaning products).
My husband and I had one Gaiam mat and would pretty much fight over it, so we needed a second. I wanted one that was a little more personal than just a plain yoga mat, I like that it is double-sided to use for whatever mood you're in. I've used it for about 2 weeks now every day and still love it. I have a hardwood floor and it is cushy enough to do pushups, core, burpees, and even planks. I fold over the edge sometimes for longer planks for more cushion. I'm 5'8 and it is the perfect length. There was a strong plastic-type smell to it, so I left it outside overnight and it went away.
I love this mat. The dimension is just right -neither too think not too thick. It’s sufficiently long ( I’m 5’6” and have no issues ). There was a bit of a plastic smell which is bound to be present due to packaging but it also goes away within a day.
I have been using this each day since it arrived and I’m super happy with it :)
