    Golden milk, also known as turmeric milk, is a traditional Ayurvedic drink, made from turmeric, milk, black pepper and oil. Traditionally, golden milk is made using cow's milk, however it can also be made using plant-based milk substitutes such as soy, coconut or almond milk.

    Turmeric Milk Recipe | Mukha Yoga

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups of milk (cow, oat, soy, coconut, almond etc.)
    • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
    • 1 tbsp coconut oil (optional)
    • 1 tsp of ground turmeric
    • 1 tsp cinnamon
    • 1 pinch of black pepper

    Instructions

    Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a light boil over medium-high heat. Continuously stir using a whisk to combine all ingredients. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 2-5 minutes. Pour into your favorite mug. Add a sprinkle of black pepper and / or cinnamon to garnish & enjoy!
