Are you using a toner as part of your daily skincare regime? Toners remove impurities, hydrate your skin and tighten pores. It’s even better if you make your own!
Here’s a simple recipe that can be adapted depending on your skin type.
Your toner base (makes 8 ounces/200ml):
*Note: In Mexico, dried hibiscus flowers (“flor de jamaica,” in Spanish) are affordable. If you find them in a Latin-American market, boil 1 cup of flowers in 2 cups of water for 10 minutes and drain it. This infusion is a great base for a toner due to its anti-aging and detoxifying properties.
Depending on the needs of your skin type, use a few drops of each preferred essential oil.
Add all the ingredients to a glass spritz bottle and mix well.
Spray on your face after cleansing and exfoliating, but before applying a serum or moisturizer.
