    Cardamom Spice Banana Bread Ingredients

    • 2 cups of all-purpose flour (or all-purpose gluten free if required)

    • 1 tsp baking powder

    • 1 tsp baking soda

    • 1 tsp of salt

    • 1 stick of salted butter

    • 1 tsp ground cardamom

    • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

    • 4 large ripe bananas mashed

    • ¾ cup of packed brown sugar

    • 2 eggs

    • 2 tsp vanilla extract

    Banana Bread Directions

    Spiced Banana Bread | Mukha Yoga
    1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Prepare a 9 x 5 baking tray by spraying with non-stick coating or line with parchment paper.

    2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside.  

    3. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring throughout until the butter becomes browned and aromatic. Remove from heat and immediately stir in the cardamom and cinnamon.

    4. Add in the mashed bananas vanilla, brown sugar and eggs. Whisk until well combined.

    5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Fold with a rubber spatula until all flour is combined.

    6. Transfer the batter to the baking tray. Bake for 45-50 minutes until the top is lightly brown. Poke with a fork or toothpick to check that there is no wet batter.

    7. Cool for 15-30 minutes before serving. Serve warm and enjoy!
